Do you have someone that has a stud to breed them to? I've thought about doing that when we finally get goats. I have my neighbor here with all of the goats but I don't know that I really want to use her goats. Idk. I have plenty of time to decide what route I want to go in.

Not set in stone. I'm actually thinking of crossing them with a Nigerian Dwarf buck to make my own little first generation mini Nubians! There is a gal down the road with a Nigerian dairy farm, and my mom is headed to check it out soon. My other thought is that the babies will be smaller and make kidding a little easier.

Informal poll, when I ordered chicks, I went to the PO near work and got their "will call" address and had the chicks delivered to THEM. Letty called me promptly at 7AM to say come get the package. Intend to do again next time. Eggs, chicks and other important stuff. Too much disappears from the mailbox route.

Since this is available everywhere in the States (Batty is out at the north pole and I don't know if there is a PO on her way to the toy workshop), make use of it.

You also get to meet some interesting postal employees who love chicks. Saves the chicks the time in the mail truck and weather.

Does anyone else use the will call? Why not?

I do every time I order eggs or live birds!
