Well I found a hen pecked to near death. She seems to have scratched herself on something and the others honed in. I found her bearly breathing so I put her out of her misery. She will be Sunday’s dinner. She will be served with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, and corn with homemade buttermilk biscuits. She will be sorely missed but appreciated.

I just found a quail dead.
I had to use tongs to take her out of the cage.
Poor thing didn't have a scratch on her...looks like she broke her neck somehow.

I hate it when they go cannibalistic. Hope she taste good, though.
