Fiddlesticks.. Another leghorn is acting sick and has a hard abdomen with icky leaking out. Looks like egg bound from the first 2. Guess we are putting her down shortly.

2 years old in May.

Still trying to decide to hatch chicken rancher's, buy eggs or chicks. Getting 8 eggs (before quail) a day. So really don't need more egg layers. But will be down to less than 7 layers next year if we don't invest in the future.

no clue. She has an egg ready. But it's not coming out. Been a week and she is more lethargic. I hope she is the one laying the rubber eggs, otherwise, I've got another one with issues.

Have you tried giving her a human calcium pill daily yet?

No. I just felt the egg. Been cleaning the bottom without feeling anything. I'm confused, but she is lethargic.
