My little sebright was the best roo. He was very sweet to the girls and would even share the bugs he found in the ground. Unfortunately, he was LOUD. We eventually didn't mind his hostility towards us, since he was so tiny and didn't do any actual damage... but the noise, my goodness! He NEVER stopped. Our neighbor hated us for a minute there.
Too bad you can't sell the neighbours instead, eh?
I agree! The hens are lookers too, but the males are just stunning.
We do that here too. Start summer squashes and curbids super late (june or even july) to avoid squash bugs. Works really well, but we also benefit from having a long growing season.

contractor says that he'll have the trim up by Thursday! He hooked up the toilet and tub for us on Friday. No more driving half an hour one way to pay for a shower.
