I candled it and it looked like there wasn’t any yolk.

Opened it up and oops there was a yolk...and it was fertilized...so not a duck.

I feel the same way. I never did want kids, but now all my friends are having babies or pregnant... in the late 30's! Nutters, I tell ya!

I keep telling them to just get chickens! Much cuter on day 1, no diapers, and THEY feed YOU!

This is exactly what I tell my hubs when he asks why i'm hatching again. I like babies, I don't have to pay for college or car insurance, and I can eat them when I'm tired of taking care of them. Makes perfect sense!

Probably a chick. It was really tiny though, I can imagine it would have had some issues if it had been hatched if it even made it to that point.
