Not noticeable the rest of the time though. Although I do I hear peafowl from another neighbor throughout the day during certain seasons.
I have a neighbor that is across the street that has a gazillion chickens and if you are outside you can hear them singing all throughout the day after they've laid an egg, as well as their roosters. Someone somewhere has a donkey. Now that braying can travel! I can only imagine if it was closer/in my front yard. I'm jelly though. I'd like a donkey, noise be damned. Of course I hear cows. My neighbors also had peacocks but I don't remember hearing them, which is surprising. I know their screech is LOUD. Someone had guineas at some point. Probably was my neighbor at the top of the hill (the one with the cows and goats). They decided to come down our way and make a nest. My hubby got a couple eggs from them. He was going to adopt them but they had a mind of their own and I guess decided to go back from whence they came. He says, yes, it was loud and he could hear them from inside the house. Still not a deterrent though. I'd just want to have a proper coop/shelter for them before we got any. Just dreaming over here. Some times my, "oooh I wants" take a few years to come to fruition.
