Got a first egg from one of the spring pullets! It's one of the two red sexlinks and she's 17 weeks. The egg is small but perfect and she put it in the nest box like a pro.

Any thing is better than no thing
I spent many hours painting benches and side tables yesterday. Ziggy came out to watch and the moment I finished a table, he jumped on it.
So, I got to touch up quickly and then find out how he feels about a bath. Would you believe that he just took it without much complaint? I was expecting a fight, cats aren't known to like water.
He purred and purred when he was done.![]()
I've only read the first line of this book so far.In and out of Panera in record time I think. No dallying on my phone for hours.![]()
I barely even used it and then decided to just put it down and eat without it. And didn’t sit there after I ate either lol went and washed my hands and left. Might walk. Idk. A little hot. 76 degrees. Maybe later when it cools off a bit. Or maybe I’ll walk along the waterfront. Was going to go to the movies again but it is gorgeous and sunny so I am trying to spend more time outside haha no point going to the movie theater on such a gorgeous day. In fact, it would be stupid and a waste. I am trying to make better decisions lately.
Anyway, I know I have been going out to eat wayyyyyy too much lately, like daily, so I need to change that, but that’s next. At the moment I’m just trying to change how long I spend in there and what I do AFTER. Like not wasting hours at the movie theater or driving around. Can only really change one habit at a time. Well, I probably could change the Panera habit easily, but atm I’m not really that concerned about it and I’m just trying to spend more time outside.
Did waste a few minutes typing this but going to go find something to do now.
OH.
And I weighed myself this morning and it was 178.8 so I’m making progress on that front.
This only eating once a day thing is really working..
Jk, I know that’s not healthy, need to change it, not doing it on purpose just usually procrastinate, but still, it’s definitely helped.
For reference, I was more like 197, 198 for a while. Haven’t been that in a little bit, think recently I’ve mostly been between 180 and 190, like for a few months or whatever, or longer, but still, not that long ago I was at that. And my highest a few years ago was like 207.but I haven’t been that in years but still. Even just like towards the beginning of this year, end of last year, I was probably above 190, I hadn’t been below 190 in a long time until like a few months ago, so it’s still at least probably close to 20 pounds. And I’m getting super close to my goal actually. Used to be around 165 which I think is a good weight or maybe even 160. Actually at my lowest I think I was like 145 but that was kind of an accident and wayyyy too low. Was also way younger there. But still. If I could get back to 165 that would be great. Or even just lose enough to fit into some of my old clothes. Actually, this one pair of gym shorts I have that used to be a bit too tight for a while, even just a week or two ago, fit great this morning and I was amazed and that’s when I weighed myself. Soooo.
Anyway, off to go find something to do. Already wasted like 15 minutes typing this lol
