➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

This is what it looks like on the inside. Now of course it’s not ripe . But this inside blows my hubby’s apricot theory (which he swears is correct lol) away because apricots have pits don’t they? So is it really a passion fruit? I have passion fruit on my property? That would be so freaking cool! I don’t have time to research on the computer. I will in a bit.

Yes. Passion fruit for the win, I think.

I'm going with yes. That flower most definitely looked like a Passion flower and this could easily be a green version of the fruit I'm seeing when I google it. I'm no expert but if it were my plant I'd be happy with that answer.

Do these things grow wild? We’ve lived here for 20 yrs and I’ve never seen them before lol. How could it have gotten here? I have so many questions. Maybe from birds? I think we found another vine. We found where the vine was coming up out of the ground. We are trying to clear this area because it is very overgrown. So we cleared around it and put a tomato cage thingy around it. Then was doing more clearing and think we found another vine. So we’ll try to save that one as well. I guess we need to make some kind of trellis or something like grapes grow on?

I don't know where you live, but if I recall they are listed as native here in Louisiana or maybe introduced but I read somewhere that they grow wild here too. Although I've never seen them that I can recall. I'd keep them personally simply bc I try to hang on to anything that can be food for myself or surrounding wildlife.

Lol! I mean a frog on peppers  forget I answered. Assume I'm drunk or high. Puh con puh con.

:lau funny either way.

And man you guys are lucky! I wish we had passion fruits growing wild here. :hit The most we get are raspberries and blackberries taking over everything and growing everywhere :lau
