Same. I'm up at 5-ish every morning and in the office by 6:45.I think I got about 6 hours. Pretty average for me![]()
I think I am going to cry.
Is it just me or does this water bottle look like intestines?

I see a pretty clear duodenal loop.![]()
Intestines with worms.
If you get up, away from screens, and move you will feel better.
It really does work.
Watch...Kdog is going to feel like a million bucks when she gets back here.
I think we all just want you to feel better. Not to pretend, mind you, but to actually get to the other side past the funk you're in.
Have you been working with your doctor or a therapist yet on these feelings?
My daughters unplanned pet that we came home with from our last beach trip got an upgrade today. After hermie #1 died around 3 weeks after I brought them home, I kept thinking hermie #2 would follow suit. Well 3 months and one successful molt and shell swap later, this dudes still with us, so I decided it was time to get out of the little plastic travel cage we bought with him and give him an actual tank. If he survives until our next beach trip, he'll even get a buddy or two. Also, climbing toys are coming soon.

@KDOGG331 Are you writing an encyclopedia?
I think I'm going to cry...for real.
How about you quickly post a short novel and then you make tomorrow's list and go to bed.
No ma'am. Those things don't count as doing things.
Those must be done no matter what.
I'll be damn.
You did it.
I'm heading out early tonight but I think you need to make a new list for tomorrow before you go to sleep that way you are ready to go first thing in the morning.
If you can sit online all day you can get up and brush your nasty teeth.
Not in my experience.
Having a 25 hour sleep schedule isn’t abnormal or a neurological problem.
It’s actually theorized by some to be the normal human circadian rhythm (although no one knows why).
They most certainly count when you are depressed and struggling
Read my mind![]()
Ok fine they count.
I guess.
I'm sorry...I don't quite understand.
Speaking of sleep... I can’t keep my eyes open.
Goodnight![]()
Orange vodka... I would think.Conan put something 'special' in yours. I saw it.
AhI meant to help YOU get up and do things, not do your things for you.
Your gonna give Kiki a stroke

How do we get the Carpy out of his funk? Why?
It definitely does.

OMG
This is true! I feel like crap when I just sit on a phone/in front of a screen all day haha
yupppp! Accurate! And I was veryyyy chatty/all hyped up like I was on caffeine or something.
X2
Love it!
Okay these two seriously made me LOL
Aw really? Whyyyy?
That’s a good idea!! I’ll do that. But wait.. do I need to make a new list!?this one still has so much on it haha
True but doing the bad
Was it really that unbelievable that I could/would do something today?![]()
Theoretically, yes, but when you’re that deep in it, even getting out of bed can be a major effort, let alone doing anything else.
Same ha
X2
What?
Mine too
Thanks ha
It’s okay, and I am sorry, I did not mean to start anything.
It is definitely really hard to understand unless you’ve gone through it cause it does seem completely absurd and ridiculous or gross or whatever so I totally get it but I guess the best way to say is it’s basically just a lot of effort and energy to do even simple things and sometimes you don’t have the energy. It sounds absurd, you should, theoretically be able to, no physical reason not to, but when you’re that depressed, everything is a major effort. Doing anything takes a ton of effort and is extremely exhausting. So sometimes you do even just a few things and are completely exhausted and can’t do anything else/don’t have the energy.
Not to mention that when you’re that depressed, you also stop caring about yourself, or at least I did, so even if you did have the energy, you don’t care enough about yourself to take care of yourself and kinda think why bother.
Or sometimes you want to do all that but can’t make yourself no matter how much you want to.
Again, I know it sounds ridiculous to those who haven’t experienced it, or even those who have but are now past it, but when you’re in it, you’re basically just extremely exhausted all the time (even for no reason) and even just living, breathing, getting out of bed, takes effort. Everything takes a concentrated effort. And sometimes you spent all your energy on something else and now no longer have the energy for that. Or maybe you just want to sleep all the time.
IMO, and experience, it’s different than just laziness, because often you want to do all that stuff and you’re usually also well aware that you need to/should/that it’s gross, and you don’t necessarily want to sit around but when everything takes so much effort, it gets kind of discouraging and sometimes you just don’t think it’s worth it.
Not to mention usually you also beat yourself up for being so lazy or wonder if it’s real or whatever, at least I did all the time, thus making yourself more depressed. A vicious cycle.
BUT.
All that said.
There actually are some studies, not all but some, that say that moving and doing stuff can actually help, but it’s a catch 22 because moving may make you feel better but you’re so depressed, it’s a major effort to do that and you might not be able to. But they do say if you can force yourself sometimes it can help. And also they’re saying now diet and exercise can play a big part and oddly the gut health/micro biome can have a huge impact on your mental health. But this is all still relatively new, they’re still studying it all. But sometimes you can fix it or at least help it by changing a few things like that, but other times it is a literal chemical imbalance in the brain and you may need medicine or something just like you’d treat any physical condition. There’s a lot of causes and possible cures or things to help or whatever, but they don’t work for everybody.
But like for me, mine isn’t that bad so by forcing myself to do stuff, it does help, but for some people that doesn’t necessarily work if that makes sense.
And often even if you do manage to do something and be productive or whatever, you can still be depressed underneath it all and still have negative self thoughts or whatever.
And this sounds insane but people can still be smiling, laughing, etc. on the outside and be completely depressed on the inside. So even doing stuff doesn’t always help either.
Anyway, I’m not that bad now, but I’ve had it bad and all of that stuff was an effort, so I get it.
Heck, even now, I literally have to remind myself to do it, or write it down, or I might forget to. Not on purpose. It’s just not quite automatic and I’m still a little bit depressed so I have to literally force myself to do this shit, it still takes a lot of effort.
But I’ve been doing it which is at least an improvement.
Anyway, sorry, did not mean to start anything![]()
Go swim 40 laps and you'll be tired. It's mentally exhausting to try to go to sleep when you aren't physically tired.
