You're right, I was kind of vague, I was thinking I wanted to work in biology and/or biochemistry.
You need to get a bigger tank! You could get one of those rubbermaid stock tanks and set it up indoors.
View attachment 1891333 This little frog was on my deck yesterday. Notice how similar it looks to lichen?! I couldn't stop staring so I took a picture.
They do seem pretty small for being two years old. Do you have a water test kit?Yeah I know, they’re huge now! Haha they’ve been in it for two years now and when I first got them, they were tiny and it worked well as I thought was better than a bowl, but now they’ve definitely outgrown it! They actually probably outgrew it a while agoI’ve been meaning to find a bigger one but have put it off but also when I do look, I haven’t had any luck finding any. But I’m gonna start getting serious about finding a bigger tank because I don’t want them to end up stunted or anything. That was the whole reason I got a tank instead of a bowl but now they’ve way outgrown it so it’s kind of the same thing.
I might at least set up the pond shell we have outside. Maybe I could put it in a wooden box with sand around it for now instead of digging a hole. Doesn’t look the best but they definitely need an upgrade now.
I mean, I try to stay on top of the water changes and filter and everything, it’s more frequent cause it’s so small, but I do it, and so far they’ve stayed pretty healthy, but I know they definitely need a major upgrade ASAP.
I’m gonna try to find them something better.
Maybe I’ll look now.

And heating! Who doesn't have heating? Nutters.
San@Texas Kiki whats further west, Corpus Christi or San Antonio? I've been to both but not sure which is further west. (Sorry backtracking...)
I walk by faith and not by sight...God just told me to tell you to buy some good sneakers, screw the price tag. I might be paraphrasing.
Build a wooden square out of nice looking lumber. You could even add some trim and get fancy. Put the liner in the box and fill with sand or dirt. Add decorative plants or stones around it. It would take one trip to Lowe's and a day’s work.Well, when I got them they were very very tiny, just the feeder goldfish from the pet store, so they’ve definitely grown a lot since then and they do still seem to be growing and getting bigger all the time, even from just a few months ago they seem bigger to me, so I think that’s a good sign? I read they also grow slower in tanks than they do in ponds?
Don’t know if thats true but does seem to be true for me.
But they’re all still active, bright colors, and seem to be growing well, so idk.
Yeah I do but I haven’t used it in a while.I mostly just try to keep on top of changing the water. But I’ll go test it in a bit.
And I found some tanks I think might work on Craigslist, surprisingly there were actually quite a few today, but I really think I will just go set up the pond we have ha
Just don’t know where to put it.
The problem is my mom’s whole family is coming to town in a few weeks and they haven’t been here in like 20 years (we usually go visit them haha) so I can’t do something fast and ugly, it’s gotta look nice too, but I’m sure I can finangle something and make it look decent.
I will go find the pond and try to get pictures of it.
