Nahhh, I’m determined not to go back to my old ways this time ha and besides, previously, it wasn’t sick days, just me not doing anything

Today I woke up fully intending to do a ton and even made a list and everything but then got side swiped by this damn cold as well as the rain. Was 110% fine yesterday, today I felt like I got hit by a freight train, and my whole family feels the same way so not just me, but I’m determined to not let it stop me tomorrow. I’m actually kind of pissed at myself I let it stop me today.

I think tomorrow I’m gonna buy some damn cold medicine, the strong stuff, so I can work haha

I have a coworker that is always planning and saying how he's gonna do something but about 10% actually gets done because he's talking about how it will be done. Just do stuff if you have time to compose a list of whats prolly not gonna get done anyway you could be DOING something

I get that, I do, and I realize that’s what I usually do which is definitely bad

BUT.

When I made that list yesterday, I got more done than I have in months and was obsessed with doing more and more and checking off as many boxes as I could. So for me, it did work and I did actually accomplish a ton of stuff on the list.

So for me it was actually helpful.

Maybe it’s not for everyone and that’s fine, I myself used to hate list and just preferred to do it as I go along/keep it in my head, but I realized after yesterday that the list did help me because I could actually visualize it and see what needed to be done and do it/be held more accountable in a way if that makes sense because it was there on that paper, unchecked, and I felt the need to get it done. Theoretically I should be able to do it without a list and maybe eventually I will but the list helped at least for me.

Cause I find otherwise if I don’t make a plan, I will end up just doing what I want to do, which usually is not at all what I should be doing.

Granted, today, most of the list didn’t really get done, which is definitely my fault, but most of today’s list was also outdoor work and it was pouring rain all day. I adapted the list though and did get a few inside things done. Not as much as I did yesterday but still more than I usually do.

So idk. For me the lists are helping.

Also for me, I tend to have a lot of problems actually getting up and getting started as well as knowing where to start, I never know what to do first and am very indecisive, so I tend to just not do anything. so by forcing myself make the list in the morning or the night before or whatever, it also helps me to get more in a working mind set and ready to work as stupid as that sounds. It helps me to have a clear plan cause without one it’s chaos.

So idk.

For me, at least so far, I’ve gotten less done in months without a list than I have in one day with one.

I wish you would have started aist back last year when we were telling you then to do it.
I'm glad you did it now though.

Go rest up and sleep so your body can't fight the germies.

Yeah, I wish I would have too. Heck, I wish I would have started one years ago before I even met you guys. I’ve wasted so much of my life and I think it would have really helped me in school. But I always thought lists and schedules and planning exactly what to do when was stupid :lau

Now I regret it.

That said though, I think I have tried to make lists a couple times before but she they’ve never worked. Idk what changed but now all of a sudden it worked.

Although I guess I also have newfound motivation now which I’m sure you know why :lau

But yeah, I’m glad I finally made a list too and yeah I’m gonna go to sleep early I think. Tried to have some chicken noodle soup but not really hungry. Am drinking some tea and honey though and going to bed when I’m done.
