He’s finally sleeping now. He starts whining every time he wakes up. I’m not sure if he’s in pain or just disoriented.

I knew you guys would take serious issue with that canned shit! Or it being called soup. But I guess they just have it in that aisle cause that’s where the rest of their products are? But it also looks really watery and disgusting in the picture. I’d much rather try real gumbo ha

I don't think youre far off. I was thinking the same thing. If a store here carried it, they may be boycotted. Things like store bought gumbo, gumbo/ jambalaya mixes and store bought roux are eyed with serious suspicion around here and if people find out you used it, then you've got some splaining to do!

But I do know enough to know that that canned crap is NOT gumbo lol

Really!? That’s shocking but makes me feel better haha

But I admit usually lately when I make rice (which is rare cause I’m not a huge rice fan) we just use white rice or the yellow Spanish type rice. I’m boring and can’t take even slight spice

You really should not be shocked here. While I can cook from scratch and do on occasion, I also don't have a problem with shortcuts. Like I said before I do NOT fancy myself a chef and sometimes I like a quick and easy version of something or other. It is what it is.

You really should not be shocked here. While I can cook from scratch and do on occasion, I also don't have a problem with shortcuts. Like I said before I do NOT fancy myself a chef and sometimes I like a quick and easy version of something or other. It is what it is.
