➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Really? Yay! I think I may have to buy one haha they seem super useful.

Although I don’t know whether to buy a pressure cooker or a slow cooker/crock pot or both lol
I use my pressure cooker OFTEN. I use my Crock-Pot very, very rarely. Well, for one, it's too small. I have teenage boys, I don't cook a 2# roast, ya know? Plus, leaving a small appliance running all day makes me super paranoid. So, yeah, it's not my thing and there isn't much it can do that I can't do in less time with the pressure cooker. Oh, and the oven can do the slow cooker mode so when I want to make slow roasted meat, it just goes in there.

I have a regular stove top pressure cooker. Kuhn Rikon. It wasn't cheap but I bought it open box return on Amazon and I use the thing enough that I decided having a better quality pot was worth the $. It is a lot easier to not burn things like beans than the cheapie it replaced and this one actually has replacement parts available so you don't have to throw it in the trash when a seal goes bad.

Thanks!! That makes a lot of sense and that sounds like a good one.

I’m a little paranoid about leaving something running all day too ha although we’re usually home but still.

That one does seem like a good one. Didn’t realize there were also regular stovetop ones

Tbh though I’m probably a bit impulsive cause I ordered one already :lau

Like right after Kiki suggested it

After Kiki said that I went and found the one she mentioned and then also found an article that listed/reviewed a few ones. I also mentioned it to my mom that I wanted one and she thought it was a good idea but we were gonna wait and go try to find one in stores or look into it more or something. Well then I found one that was like $70 on Amazon or something so she said to just get it. Cause the Crockpot one I think was like $100 or something. So I did. But then I read some reviews that said it stopped working after like a year or a few months or that the customer service is terrible/don’t respond back so now I kinda wish I waited but it also has like 35,000 reviews and still 4 1/2 stars/almost all positive and they claim they’re the number one one so it can’t be all bad haha and the article recommended it too so idk haha there’s lots of good reviews too. But also I discovered right after I ordered it that on Amazon, the Crockpot one was the same price as the one I got so I should have just tried that one/looked into it more but oh well. I guess we’ll see. I’m sure they’re all fine. Idk. If not, Amazon returns are at least good so I’ll do that. It’s supposed to be here tomorrow. Amazon is amazing that way haha free next day shipping. Pretty impressive lol

Anyway, this is the article and this is the one I got ha

Glad I’m not the only one that eats this stuff :lau

Although that said, I think everyone might have strokes when they see that :lau

I’ll help. :lau

Just bought this yesterday. Pictured next to the other, unopened, one I also bought yesterday at the same time for comparison lol

And I also just downed a brownie :lau

BUT.

I have also been eating really healthy lately and had a bunch of fruit and yogurt earlier and we have a ton of vegetables in the fridge both from the store and the garden both of which I’ve been eating a lot of so that’s good at least. Currently I have spontaneously decided to make the chicken, kale, sweet potato thing again. :lau I was hungry and trying to decide what to eat and was gonna just microwave a sweet potato (we have a potato setting that actually works really well) or cut one into slices and sauté it like I usually do and just have that for dinner since a potato is filling and I was feeling lazy  but since we still have chicken and tons of kale, I decided I might as well just make this again :lau
