Farthest north I’ve ever been is Alaska. Farthest south is Australia. I don’t keep much more track than that.

Have y'all seen those lykoi cats? Someone shared a pic of a chicken with their cat that has this mutation on an FB chicken pg yesterday (I believe it was). They are so ugly! They have no undercoat. Maybe I'm behind in this but I'd never heard of them or seen the likes of it.

I’ve never heard of them but have heard of the completely hairless ones. I thought those things were ugly but man these ones might be worse!! I think I would prefer my cat to be fully one way or the other: either have fur or just be fully hairless. Those things look like they have freaking mange or something! LOL and it would bug me having like a ratty looking cat all the time and knowing that’s just like... how they are. No fixing it. That’s so weird to me and I’m so OCD I could never have a cat like that

My family is Australian and I was born in Alaska.
Australia is way over-romanticized.. Alaska is heaven on earth.

I don't like them either. The sweet little guy who pasted the pic wasn't even posting about the cat (other than the hilarious way it was looking at his chicken) and so many people started commenting on the cats unhealthy appearance that he decided to educate everyone. His two are a random occurrence, not selectively bred. Friends were going to put them down bc they thought they were sick and mangey so he took them. After tons of test ended up having a dna test to confirm they simply had the lykoi mutation. I found it interesting, but they're still hideous imo. I do think the all hairless are cute tho.

I think the mutation may be called lykoi but the breed developed from it may be called the werewolf cat.
