➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Making bison burgers, sweet potato slices, and sautéed kale.

The potato is cooked in microwave first (our microwave has a special potato setting, just enter the weight of the potato(es) and voila, baked potato. It’s great lol) and then sliced the short/wide way and sautéed/browned/crisped/fried/whatever it’s caled, idk, in a pan in olive oil. I cook it in the microwave first cause I’m impatient and otherwise it will take forever to cook all the way if I just do it in the pan :lau

Haven’t decided if I’m having bread with it yet or not. Probably not but idk. Maybe one slice of Pepperidge Farm Farmhouse style oatmeal bread. That stuff is tasty. We don’t have any burger buns. Either way though, definitely going to be using ketchup and mayonnaise. :lau

Sorry! Forgot to reply to the rest/accidentally quoted some extras :lau

It is called a farmer's tan! Hubby never wears shorts...only sweat pants and jeans. His white legs can blind you! :lau

And we know he appreciates you!

Red, our Catahoula/lab would do that too. Started after we had the 5.7 earthquake. Every storm after, he would freak. Spent a lot of storms in my lap with Gracie, the Australian shepherd. They both improved after age brought deafness.
I did use a quality cbd oil for both of them only when we had week long storms. It did help.
Neither Ruby or Lily have anxiety issues although Ruby is new sound sensitive.

Red would hid under the desk when he heard the weather/newscaster getting excited over the coming weather.

What!? No moo cow pictures?!

Thank you. Will check that out!
Try a little banana or a raw egg if Triumph will eat it. Hope he passes one soon.

Oh yeah I knew that lol but it’s still ridiculous!! :lau

And oh yeah mine too and my arms :lau

And I was gonna say the same thing!! We need moo cow pictures lol

Neat! I asked bc I've only actually known one other person who owned them and she was a ranch lady too. She had one purebred and one that was some sort of RR & mountain cur cross. It was Black brindle w/ a ridge. It was a neat looking dog. Seeing yours in your ranch/farm setting was just a little nostalgic. I went to her property to fish in her ponds as a kid. She and her husband bred quarter horses and it was like a little dream world for me then.

OMG that sounds amazing!! That definitely sounds like my dream too lol love quarter horses. :love

Except I think instead of ridgies I would have Labs or Goldens, just some sort of retriever, and some sort of shepherds. Probably German or Australian or maybe an English Shepherd or farm collie. Or maybe a BC too lol

Nothing against ridgies, just not exactly my type of dog ha

Much more of a gun dog and shepherd type person. :D

My uncle has a ridgeback though. Used to have two but the other one died a few years ago. But he’s always had Ridgebacks. Won’t get any other breed of dog LOL

I second this! Where has glitter gone off to?

X3 lol

Her moo cows are her fat old dogs.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to watch her like a hawk! I wish there was a set time that all of my chickens have laid by. I normally collect a couple to few times a day so they don't sit. Unless I've been super busy (which is not often) then it's just once a day. Then it dawned on me this evening, the bars in front of the nest boxes can be moved up. :he So I am definitely going to use this feature more often. Daisy was not happy with me. Oh man, she would get so puffy and her hackles were all raised up. She kept going back again and again. She finally gave up and is roosting on the bar next to Elvis.
My poor broody Daisy

Aww, sweet pups! I love your animals Nana.
We sometimes wonder what Theia went through when she was a stray. She could’ve been on the streets during Harvey for all we know.. poor girl.

I notice Triumph losing his hearing more and more lately. It makes my heart hurt.
Thank you. Will check that out!

He pooped! And it looked perfect!
It’s a shame too, he was about to get a banana-egg special. Should’ve held it in a bit longer.

Lol. You might be a pet owner when you start describing poops as “perfect.”
