➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I make sun tea. Tea bags and water, stick the jug outside for a couple hours and let it happen. Of course, it isn't sweet. I don't like sweet tea so no biggie for me but there's dehydrated honey powder that you could mix in to taste. No corn syrup, then, and the antioxidants would be intact (a problem for anything that has to be heat pasteurized). I know, buying a jug is easier. But, it's really no better than soda.

That sounds delicious!!

You beat me to it!

Same

Make a quart.
Put a tea bag and 2 cups of water in a 4 cup measuring cup Set your microwave for 3 minutes .....while you brush your teeth or put on your makeup. Then remove the tea bag, add two cups of ice to melt and cool down. Add your honey. Pour into a thermos or covered pitcher. Refrigerate.

That sounds really fast and easy haha

Aaand this is why I don’t talk about my diet around y’all. :gig

Ok, fine. Is there better brands of tea bags than others or is it all the same stuff?

:lau we’re in the same boat LOL

I think it’s all the same lol although I like bigelow or sometimes I get fancy and get the organic or non gmo stuff lol but usually I don’t.

I’ve been drinking this one lately and I love it haha but I think it’s all the same. Idk. The matcha one is supposed to be really healthy though for some reason aha

I’ve also been drinking this other one that I loveeeee by Stash called Ginger Peach. I think it’s green tea. But I just ran out. :hit idk where I got it. I neeeeeed to find more LOL but I think they carry at the grocery stores or I think I maybe got it at our little bargain store so hoping I can find it again cause I’m addicted to it. :lau

When we need a refreshing cold drink we mix 1/2 cranberry juice with 1/2 Fresca over ice. Fresca is actually citris...grapefruit juice....made by Coca-Cola.
I don't like the peach flavor Fresca just the original.

That sounds good too although carbonated stuff/bubbles usually irritates my stomach haha

I like Lipton green tea bags in the family envelop size but also use Lucerne teas.

Never heard of Lucerne though I’m not a huge fan of Lipton aha

I can tell the difference between some teas. Generic tea is more dusty. Perhaps they clean out the bottom of the hopper to fill those bags? But the difference between a mid range and an expensive one? Meh, not so much. But, I'm not a tea snob. There are some who would tell you that you must buy loose leaf. We used to have a coach who was legit British and I kept my tea thoughts to myself around her.

That makes sense! I too like mid range ones lol although I buy all sorts of good flavors. We have sooo much tea actually but I usually never drink it. I need to start haha a lot of herbal tea (non caffeinated) but some good flavors in caffeinated too. Like I have some Pumpkin Spice and Salted Caramel and Apple Cinnamon Chai and a Pumpkin Spice Chai. Get those in the fall obviously lol I am addicted. Salted Caramel with some milk is especially good. :drool and around Christmas there’s this cranberry vanilla tea that I’m literally addicted to. :lau so good with honey. And I have a gingerbread flavor which I got last year but haven’t tried :lau

But making a hot cup of tea is so relaxing sometimes. Speaking of which, I also have a couple of the Tension Tamer flavor :lau

And OMG I bet LOL

Added tea bags to the shopping list.

Is freshly made tea REALLY that much healthier than buying it by the gallon at the store?
Would adding store bought peach syrup to freshly made tea defeat the purpose of being “healthier?”

I don’t know if it’s necessarily healthier or not but I find drinking a cup of hot tea relaxing lol

But if you don’t have the time to make it or whatever or like the taste of the bottled green tea I wouldn’t feel too bad about drinking or buying it once in a while! :hugs

Sometimes my mom mixes sweetened and unsweetened too lol it’s good once in a while.

And probably :lau but it’s probably fine if you get healthier syrup lol idk.

But sometimes there’s hidden ingredients or sugar or whatnot in the bottles.

Then there is also this which I just found haha

Both haha! I’m hoping to end up with a pretty piece of furniture that doubles as a larger and more functional home for my bearded dragon.
@CSAchook is working on a similar build. Only the most spoiled lizards in this thread!

I love what you did with that TV cabinet. Repurposing furniture is so satisfying.

Yup! I am painting mine whereas Tes is staining. I sometimes regret that decision. So much priming! :barnie

Me. I am that person. I am a tea fiend. I even have a multi setting electric kettle in my office at work. And for my birthday my husband usually takes me to high tea at a fancy local tea shop.

I buy most of my loose leaf from The New Mexico Tea Company. Their selection is incredible :love Although they do also have a really yummy instant chai latte mix too.
