➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Just got home. Driving back from my parents and passed two loose horses on the side of a dark, busy road. Did a double take and turned around; hubby and I caught them and held them until a sheriff arrived.
We put them in the nearest pasture (under sheriff’s orders) and we were about to drive away when we watched them both run out of a hole in the fence. Oops lol.
We offered to help catch them again but the sheriff said he had it. :idunno

Poor hubby has 4 hours to sleep before he gets up for another 10 hour shift.

The eggplant seems to have had a growth spurt with all this rain :lau flowers all over it too. The tomatoes are growing new branches too. They were starting to die. Today is the first sunny day after about 3 days of rain.

The building condition reminds me of the Timothy mcvay federal building

The Hard Rock collapse does look similar to the Murray Federal Building bombing...the fallen slabs of concrete and mangled metal. Both dangerous, unstable buildings that would require a long time to retrieve victims and to clear debris.
Our bombing site was extensive...covering a multi-block area strewn with debris, evidence and damaged buildings and shattered glass. Trees were stripped of their leaves and the building and parking garage collapsed pan caking floors and vehicles. The crater at the base of the building was huge.

My husband was an OKC police officer downtown at the time of the bombing and was on scene from the beginning. He came home for a change of clothes at midnight, couldn't sleep so went right back to their temporary police/reaction headquarters.
After teaching school during the day, I volunteered in the chaplain's section for several weeks near "ground zero" offering comfort, a listening ear, counseling and prayer with the first responders. We were stationed in the SWBell building where first responders came for meals, rest and help services.
Not many understand the visual and emotional impact those responders carry for life from these tragic scenes...especially those who help rescue and "process" the human victims and remains.

I was there today. TV doesn't do it justice. The magnatude is amazing. It's crazy to see the floors folded over and hanging like paper
