I have read your post from day one @texas kikki and as an incubator user duck eggs were my thing. Did you ever crack open the eggs to see at what point they were at?
I have open eggs that I though were dead only to find they were alive ! But the sad part they died a few days later. Even those that I open that were dead told me a lot but how they died - if you read the internet the reason are many I am at mar 28 2018 i wiiillllllll jump to the end now

Yes I always open every egg...and I actually did open one too soon.

It is a stag horn fern. The tree below looks like maybe a fig or a big leaf oak.

We are currently under storm watch and it is raining really hard. Brought the kittens inside because the winds were whipping the rain and mist inside the brick carport. Tornado watch with news interrupting tv shows with warnings of lowerings south of us.....gonna be a long night.
Texas /Dallas area is getting it too.
Kittens are happily playing with their catnip mice.

The dogs are restless with all the lightening and thunder...want to go out to potty and then put on the brakes when I open the door.
Ruby has her legs crossed.
Looks like we will get a short break in the rain and then another wave hits.
Will keep the kittens in the bathroom tonight with a litter box and their bed.

Looks like Dallas took a really hard hit! Hope everyone is okay.
We have some limbs down but nothing significant. Hard to measure horizontal rain...only an inch in the rain gauge.

On a bright note, my perennial Ageratum is looking really pretty this year. All the spring and summer rains encouraged the root runners and it has spread to fill a nice section by the house.
Will transplant some to other flower beds this fall after it quits blooming.

My day just changed from working in the garden and making some pear preserves to helping haul 30 head of cattle home from our 160 in Prague. Storm damage there to the front fences. Needed to bring them home anyway. Then boys will go back tomorrow to mend the fences.
