It is very draining and I definitely lose my patience.
We’ve realized it is more the wind than the rain that she is scared of.

Windy day = moody, clingy, trembling
Gentle rain.. meh, whatever.
Thunderstorm = meltdown

That makes sense! Wind is scary. My chickens get scared when it’s windy and everything is blowing around. Even I get scared when it’s really high/strong winds. But that’s mostly because we are surrounded by massive pine trees which could easily fall on the house or the chicken coop.

My chickens hid in their coop with the door wide open all day :lau i bet theyd find better shelter under the house but theres no feed for the hogs :rolleyes:

Last night i was listening to the linbs come down. We have pecan trees and they shed like dogs :rant

Then I’ll send her to you and y’all can be scared together lol.

windy and rainy days used to be my favorite. Snuggle up with a book and nap at the window.
Now it’s just a source of anxiety and/or frustration.

I love rainy days but hate windy, cold, disgusting scary days. A nice gentle rain can be relaxing. :love

Although now I tend to prefer sunny nice days. But only because we’ve had sooo many rainy days this year. It gets old fast haha
















Not that I even go outside daily anyway

Mine were out and about some of the day and inside some too. There were a few fraidy cats that really didn’t come out :lau

Though sometimes my birds are weird and won’t come out on nice days either lol

And oh boy that sounds annoying!! We thankfully don’t have that problem but we have a couple huge oaks that shed leaves like crazy and of course all the dang pine needles from all the dang pine trees!!! :barnie

Also, that said, speaking of shedding, I actually think the dang cat sheds way more than the dog ever did!! Haha
