➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

OMG this weather is crazy!! It’s like almost 60 degrees today and tomorrow it’s supposed to be in the 50s too but then tomorrow night it’s supposed to drop like a rock and get to the 20s by nighttime!! Might even get to 19 or 17.... 57, 58 during the day.... a possible 40 DEGREE DISCREPANCY. :th :hit

Supposed to rain during the day but could turn to snow (or ice) at night! :sick

I hope it does NOT get that cold. :fl:hit

And then it’s supposed to be pretty warm again after. Up and down the rest of the week. Weird weather.

That thing is so cool! OMG!! Never seen one like that!! Love the spikes lol

I agree i think theyre really neat. We get em all the time, call em crab spiders. I have no idea what else to call em or the proper name and havent ever been bit by one. Looks like he could really hurt ya for his size. I havent ever seen one bigger than a dime. This guy was a tiny bit bigger than a pencil eraser.

They do look like crabs! Haha and oh wow that’s small!! But maybe the colors and spikes are designed to fool predators into staying away? :D

Is it maybe one of these? Apparently they are beneficial and harmless. :D they just look menacing. :lau

Beautiful.
Looks like the Goldfinch know good protection from an owl!

Put on the chili this morning, it has been cooking all day!

Did a lot of cleaning/sorting on my seed saving today. Seeds are sorted from chaff and packaged by variety.

Went out to feed and water the chickens early in the henhouse since they are locked in because of the cold. Found that two clutches of chicks have hatched. Mommas are keeping them safe and warm.

Cat pictures...almost 6 months old!
Playing with a dry piece of mud off one of the boots....scooting it around like a hockey puck....

Love how Pomme Tom lies on the floor.

Going out to lock up the ducks. BBL

He seemed pretty indifferent actually. The "pound" was actually a really nice kennel. Heated floors & everything. He actually smelled better when he left than when he went in.
Hah! I found a little jack russell terrier this last summer in the middle of the road. Old dude. Super smelly, covered in fleas, old as dirt, and well fed. He had a chip, but was not up to date. He was 13, according to the chip. I brought him home, gave him a flea bath, fed him, and gave him a flea treatment pill. Then I brought him to the pound. He was picked up by his owners right away.

Conan - sorry for the delayed answer.... I'm in the house, it's definitely warmer than the trailer. I'm still loving having running water. There's still lots to do on the house: paint trim & doors; make & hang back splashes; try to get kitchen cupboard doors sanded (having a b**** of a time getting the old stuff off), stained & hung; get coset rods in.... I'm sure that I'm forgetting a bunch.
But you're in! So cool. How's that sun room treating you? Is it full of tranquil whale song and yoga mats yet? Hehe.
