➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I was surprised with this when I went to collect eggs this late afternoon. I’ve never had it happen to me before.

Looks like blood to me. Everyone was out and about and scratching to and fro so I didn’t panic. Nothing was is the nest box. I checked. It is a white’ish egg so I knew it either came from my Andalusian (Iris) or Daisy. I waited for my hubby to come home from work and once they were all up on the roosts for the night, that was when we checked both girls. Daisy’s vent looked normal to me. We checked Iris’s and she’s got some spiky feather shafts down there. Maybe 1/2 in long? Give or take. It almost looks like the feathers are trying to grow towards (and down in to) her vent. Could those spikes cause the blood issue? We are thinking she was the one that laid the egg. If she did, it does look bigger than what she’s laid before so maybe it is just a big egg? I haven’t cracked open the egg yet. We were going to do so in the morning. Anyone else have an egg come out like this before?
Yep, not that uncommon to have a capillary in the vent burst and cause a blood smear.

I know what I have is legit. I have a medical card. Most of the stuff they're testing isn't in medical shops you see in Colorado and such. I don't buy the fake stuff, I'm too scared to even try fake anything. I'm too all natural.

Oh yeah, no, I wasn’t saying what you had was fake or anything. Sorry for the confusion or if it came across that way. I was just saying in general a lot of that stuff you can buy in stores or online or whatever isn’t really tested or anything. Scary how they can list one amount but have way less or whatever.

She has a 20 foot big one and 5 smaller 5 foot ones. My mom's house is no joke. I LOVE Christmas! I cry every Christmas seeing the joy in my kids eyes.

Oh wow that is a LOT of trees!! Haha  that’s awesome though. Does she have artificial ones or does she buy real ones every year? Hah

And yess I love Christmas too!! It’s so much fun. I love the holidays haha

And awwww that’s so sweet aha :love

Oh yeah no I knew what you were saying. I don't ever buy fake stuff with anything. I make sure anything that anyone eats drinks or uses on their body is good stuff. I'm one of those extremely healthy people or I try to be. I may eat Doritos every 6 months, but thats as bad as I get.

Some people don't care and just buy whatever.

Is it weird that I think the second pic looks like a lovely tree painted on that egg?

Agree with Banty. Not uncommon. I have had a couple that look similar, though they were less artistically inclined.

I think I like your mom. We could be friends. Insane Christmas loving friends. Tell me, is the music good (Bing Crosby Christmas style)?
One of my favorite cds that I own. I love all of the singers of old.

I will often listen to a station on iHeartRadio that plays a lot of the old classics. Bing Crosby is a favorite of mine.
