Yes, @KDOGG331. THIS ^
I have a four year degree. It was useless for what I ended up doing, and unless you are going for very specific certifications or trade school, I really wouldn't bother. The market is saturated with young people in debt from school with no work experience. Get experience first.
Go on every feed store site or pet place site, and apply for every job that you qualify for. Apply at coffee places, fast food restaurants (they are the most fun places to work, imo). Go in, and hand them your resume. Introduce yourself.
Apply to help seasonally somewhere. Everyone is hiring seasonal employees this time of year. In fact, I was in line at my feed store last week and a young man walked in and asked about a job. The cashier called the hiring manager up, and they started chatting about a warehouse position. This kid didn't even have his shoelaces tied... I'll bet they hired him.
Shut up with your reasons or lack thereof. I mean that in the kindest way. Shut up, and get out there. Get a job. I guarantee you that you will feel better about yourself and your life after doing so.
Thank you, this is really helpful and I really appreciate it.
That makes sense. And no one really probably even looks at degrees for the field I wanna do anyway.
Just sometimes I kinda feel like a loser or failure or whatever for only having a two year especially compared to my brothers but I guess a two year is still something.
And honestly, I forgot a word in that last post, I don’t really hate myself now, though I do constantly beat myself up for having done nothing with life.
I think a job would help with that hah
But even that, it’s not where I want to be or where I thought I’d be by now. It’s not having a dog training center or my own place with tons of land/animals or anything close to it. But I guess it’s a stepping stone there.
I’m gonna apply first thing in the morning. Although I was worried they wouldn’t still be hiring cause Halloween and Black Friday are over but I guess they still need people for Christmas and New Year’s.
