➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I freak out sometimes. Being woken up during a night terror is traumatic. It’s extremely disorienting at best.
When I cut my hand I woke up and thought I was dying lol. It’s funny now, wasn’t really then.
I dumped my entire purse one night and threw stuff everywhere looking for a spider that never existed. I was asleep the whole time. DH said the dogs were trying to help too, but couldn't figure out what I was looking for.

I'm glad you can laugh now. I'm sure it was horrifying to wake up to blood everywhere.

I only wear them to ride and muck stalls but they haven’t given me grief yet.
Any boot takes a while to break in, but don’t torture yourself if they’re absolutely horrible feeling.
My sharkskin Noconas did not require any break in. They have been resoled once and are still great 30+ years later.

@Tesumph do you ever hide things out of reach so you can't get them? Or does that not work?

I watched this movie about a sleepwalker and she was visiting neighbors houses. It creeped me out.
As far as I know it doesn’t work, but it’s never been a huge problem for us.
Apparently I ask for car keys and try to leave the house often, but I haven’t driven anywhere.. yet. Lol.

That’s hilarious. My husband says I’m always worrying about the dogs or sleeping on their beds. They tolerate me I guess.

My DH sleep walks and always ends up in the kitchen. He will wake up get a snack and eat it then come back to bed. Well I noticed he wasn't in bed and I heard a sound in the kitchen. I crept to the kitchen and said

"Food Police. Put your hands where I can see them and no one gets hurt!" He busted out laughing. He was eating Oreos and it was the package I heard in the kitchen.

:lau I'm great to live with. I keep him young :D

:lau OMG!!!

@KDOGG331 did you decide if you're going to keep a cockerel?

Not yet. Don’t even know if I have any yet. :lau

I want to but logically I know it’s probably not a smart idea.

But I’m gonna wait, see if I get attached to any or if any prove themselves. :lau

Realistically, I think some of my hens are just as loud or maybe louder than a rooster would be anyway. :lau

Those egg songs can get pretty dang loud LOL

I have a couple that loveeee to talk too and go on and on... take after me I guess. :lau

So a rooster wouldn’t be so bad as long as he didn’t crow all day haha

My friend lives in El Paso. I actually just texted her and she said they have awesome boots in Texas :barniewhy couldn't my parents live there when I was a kid instead of Maine and NH. Im meant for Texas, I love heat in my food and hot weather!

Maybe you should consider moving to TX instead of staying in VA LOL

I know you want to stay near your parents but they have Skype and FaceTime now and cars. :D

Those are so pretty! OMG! :love

I need those lol

You gotta do what you gotta do.
I have no beef with heels but I didn’t want to be taller than my husband. I still wear my “wedding” flats all the time lol.

:lau tbh I think I’d be taller than any future boyfriend or husband anyway so

Ugh. I sleep eat. I’ve broken dishes and cut my hand bad with a knife one time.

OMG that sounds awful!!

That's why I don't wear heels either. Plus they kill my feet.

Yeah I think they would hurt mine too haha

Lol my husband is 13 inches taller than me. The heels probably helped get me in frame for the photos :gig

:lau OMG

Thankfully he just goes straight to snack food. One time he was outside on the porch sleeping in the rain. I had to go get him and get him dry clothes. He hasn't done that again, at least he stays in the house now.

I'm a light sleeper so I know when he gets up. I usually give him 20 minutes to come back.

I don't know how you guys can handle sleep walking. I'd freak out if I woke up somewhere I didn't fall asleep.

:lau

Oh boy!

But yeah, I bet that’d be traumatic. I’ve woken up a couple times and forgotten where I was for a sec and it’s definitely scary. Can’t imagine actually being disoriented.

I don’t know how I forget. Just like forget in staying in a hotel or forgot I moved the bed or decided to sleep in a different room or whatever ha

That sounds horrifying.

Also not really related but sort of.. speaking of neighbors, was it here we were talking about the giant TVs? My neighbors must have a giant TV because I can literally see it from our driveway lol

Granted some trees have been cleared so that’s probably why but still.

I noticed it tonight and was like  :th

:lau OMG!!! Hilarious.

:lau that’s good!! Wonder if anyone has ever sleep driven lol

:lau Dog beds are comfy!!!

In the realm of chronic sleepwalking, driving is not all that uncommon. You can do pretty much anything you can do while awake.
Some people have died from walking into streets or out in a blizzard. There have even been cases of people murdering in their sleep. Pretty sad actually.

Oh wow that’s definitely sad! :( I always thought the murder in the sleep thing was just something on TV, couple of the shows I watch have had episodes about it, didn’t think it was actually real. That’s definitely sad. :(

Lately my cat has been sleeping in the bed on my side all night. I must be sleeping soundly lately because he jumps at the slightest noise. I'm assuming it's because he was a feral cat before the vet rescued him.
