➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Had to add some seed to my sprouting container...cut up the mangos. Then cleaned and cut open the husks

and pulled the seeds out of the husks.

The seeds have viable ends and are now in a bowl sitting in shallow water with some Avacado seeds to encourage the roots. In a few days they will go in potting soil.

Aww! :love It’s been kind of crazy here.

You hatched some? Did you buy hatching eggs to do so? :pop

Sorry about the boys!! We aren’t hatching anymore unless somethings take off because of the amount of boys we have gotten.

Sounds like you’ve been doing lots of traveling. :) How fun!

Hopefully good crazy!? :fl

And yes I did! I ordered 12 assorted hatching eggs from Meyer Hatchery and I got 13. Got a great variety too, like 8 different breeds in the 13 eggs.

They were all fertile but I had some early quitters and one DIS so only 10 made it to lockdown and 9 hatched.

I think that’s pretty good for shipped eggs and my first hatch ever. :D

I have some pictures of the little buggers. I’ll try to dig some up haha

They’re all doing great though.

And thanks, yeah, I knew I’d have some but didn’t realize how many. I have at least 3 or 4 so far with several more suspect. Possibly 5 or 6 boys. :(

Hoping I’m wrong on some of them though. :fl

And yeah I definitely have. :lau we normally don’t this much but this weekend was kinda last minute, my mom only booked it yesterday haha so we’re here last night and tonight.

And we flew down to Jacksonville to visit my brother for his birthday and stayed for Christmas. We went to Savannah GA for a few days since it’s pretty close to Jacksonville and then were in Jacksonville for the rest of the time. We got back Monday. So I was there like a week and a half.

How are things with you!? Hopefully good? :fl

Settling into the new house okay?

Have you ever done this before with a mango?
I'm trying it tomorrow after I eat the mango I just bought today.

 Happy New Year!!:hugs
Happy New Year!

Lil Kiki...how is school?
How are the dummies?
(dogs)
School is..meh. I’m on the last two classes of my pre-reqs that I can take at the community college. I’m also about to take an accounting course so... :caf

Dogs are good! Ruger had an appointment today with his oncologist and she’s happy with how he’s progressing with the steroids. :) Only problems are his liver levels aren’t great and his ligaments in his legs are starting to relax too much. So he’s now been prescribed physical therapy, and he so far loves his exercises that he has to do. :)

Fed Gamora 2 huge roaches and she loved them. Groot ate 6 nymphs :D @CSAchook he didn't even hesitate this time. He loves the roaches. Lasership lost my heat pad :barnie so I'm using just a human one for now, it stays on for 4 hours then shuts off. At least they'll get some heat that way.

Yay go Groot!!! So happy you found a food he likes! Roaches will be fine until the heat pad comes. (Although it sucks it got lost). They are very hardy.

Be careful to not cut yourself. There is a groove on the stem end of the husk that is easier to cut open...learned that the hard way.
Yes. I have a few young mango trees in the hot tub room.
When the seed goes in a pot, the seed is spoon side down in the soil. I put it in two inches. Then keep the soil moist but not soggy.

The seed on the right of this picture....which side is the spoon side?
