➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I have 42 barnyard surprise eggs in the bator. I keep hoping I'll get some amazing ones that will be eye candy.

So many people don't like barnyard mixes I've notice on here. Most want a purebred, but in my opinion I think barnyard mixes really are amazing and usually can't be duplicated. They don't look like any other chickens. I'd rather have a one of a kind chicken than one that everyone has.
Our yellow ones were gorgeous (and loud).

Wound up with
5 black ones - Australorp mother or Production Blacks with red accents.
5 stripey one - Dominique mothers. 2 with single combs, 2 with cushions and one early death.
3 red - probably production red mothers. 3 different shades, Light, Medium and Dark. Dark is a gorgeous copper color. Too bad she is all attitude.

Getting small pinkish eggs from the Dominique influence and large medium brown eggs from the others.

I haven’t taken anymore since those ones last weekend but I’ll get some more. Idk if you ever even saw those ones? I put tons on my gender thread on like page 2 and page 9 hah but I’ll get some good ones when I move them out.
I'm pretty sure I saw the ones on page two let me go double check on page nine.
But that was like a week ago I'm sure they've changed since then.

I'm a sucker for pink eggs. I have 4 pink egg layers, but I think a few of my pullets haven't even laid yet.

I have an Easter Egger mix that I hope lays green or blue. I also have an Orpington Easter Egger mix. They both should start laying this spring.

I'd have to create a whole new area for them. I don't even know if it is a cockerel. It just has a small pinkish comb. I don't see cockerel feathering but it's too early for that I think.

They can’t go with the others? But yeah, coloring looks super dark for a boy (if it’s a BR?) but those legs are soooo thick and it’s a bit early for a pullers comb to go red I think?

It's a jersey giant barred rock cross. It's from one of the eggs I incubated from my flock.

I can't put another cockerel in with Squatch and HeiHei, I don't want fighting or the girls to get over mated. If we had 5ish acres they could roam on, I would consider it.
