I did it 3 times!!!! This is one of the dual purposes I created using my barred rock hen and my jersey giant cockerel. It was 18 weeks, perfect timing I think.

I'm very happy with the meat and everything about it. It was so easy to clean because it was a broader bird. I'll definitely continue doing the Jersey crosses.

Mex wanted to season some quail the other day before we out them in the freezer.
I wasn't sure if it would make a difference if not.
My husband said that the seasoning gets in it better when you vacuum seal it before you put it in the freezer. When you defrost them in the fridge, it flavors it really good too better than just rubbing it on beforehand.

I usually do it to store-bought meat too like pork chops, chicken wings, and other meat.
