⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

when both partners work, it is a challenge to meal plan.
not really......we have both always worked and at least 1 meal gets cooked 5-7 days a week. (there is the relatively rare exception that we work late either at the office or at home and do pickup but not preferred nor the normal)

i was told that if a doe was bred before 6 months she was “ruined” and if you leave the buck and doe together too long after breeding, she may castrate him 🤔🤷‍♀️
Depends on the breed. Smaller breeds mature more quickly, while the meat/larger breeds take longer. I was told to wait until my does (standard Rex) were 8 months or 8 pounds, whichever came first. The problem with breeding too early is the doe likely won't be grown enough to support growing both a litter and herself. There is the possibility that her growth could be stunted and she'll have a small litter, and have issues/smaller litters in the future.

A doe can definitely castrate a male if she's not in the mood. I always watch my rabbits when they are together so I can intervene if needed. Either one could hurt the other if they wanted to.
