Lots of trees get catkins; birch, alder, aspen, willow (around me). They're basically flowers. They're easy to miss if you're not looking for them.Huh. Learn something new everyday. I guess I just never noticed. Not that I actually currently have any willows. I've been meaning to plant some though for wattle making...guess I'll see what you're talking about then!
