I can't wait! I've been wanting to make a woven fence along that boundary. This is gonna be SO cool!

I had a Pussy Willow here for 3 years. It bloomed during a January thaw the last time. It did not make it through the following 20 below temps.

Huh. Learn something new everyday. I guess I just never noticed. Not that I actually currently have any willows. I've been meaning to plant some though for wattle making...guess I'll see what you're talking about then!

Lots of trees get catkins; birch, alder, aspen, willow (around me). They're basically flowers. They're easy to miss if you're not looking for them.
