I had an alocasia longiloba bulb that my cousin in WI mailed me. I was so excited. I potted it and waited forever for it to come up. It finally started to sprout. I took special care of it, excited to see its gorgeous leaves.

A leaf finally unfurled and it was beautiful. Dark green with white veins. Bright purple underside. I then couldn't wait until it got big. I set it on the wood stove, as it got the perfect indirect light.

Woke up one morning and it was gone. Just a pot of dirt. Willdee effing ate it. The whole thing. Do you think she even threw up? Hell no.

Am I supposed to know who Willdee is?
