Eventually we plan to build something larger to replace the crate. But we are busy and she was an unplanned rescue so... we make do.

Yes. It usually still rains, except for 3 days in August when our beaches look like this:

Quite often we invade other hotter countries to steal their summer because we envy them. Like Spain. Some of us even move there permanently for the sunshine. So we can complain it is too hot, and that everything there isn't British enough.

Have you thought about coming to New England? It's probably not that British, but we get some lovely summers with lots of sunshine.
Oh, but snow is a thing, too. Very pretty.

This is all true.

Us Brits love to complain about the weather. It is a national obsession. It is either too hot or too cold, too wet or too dry. Mostly too wet. If it's misty drizzle we lament the lack of proper rain. If it's bucketing down, we rue that it is too heavy. If it stop/starts showers, we moan that we can't predict what coat to wear. We are never happier than when we are discussing the weather, complaining about it, or wishing it was the opposite of what happened that day.

Yes. All true! Today is quite sunny- so I'll probably be complaining about that later!
