I got my tomatoes planted yesterday. I had two gold nugget seeds left. We'll see if they sprout. The rest are hssiao his hung shih or yellow pear.

Gold Nugget are open pollinated. As long as you keep them away from other tomato plants when in bloom, you can easily source new seeds from the tomatoes themselves.

The other thing that works is to clone the plant. Take a cutting and root it in either potting soil or a jar of water. Air layering works very well with tomato plants. You don't even need to use any rooting gel.

40 degrees isn't bad for me, but it seems to be too cold for this guy. His big buddy barked and growled at me before digging under my fence and taking off.

I'm trying to find who he belongs to.
