None of mine are tame and none of them have any Ayam Cemani in them. It's how they were raised.
If I left him alone he would probably be just as happy. I just want to make sure that he's healthy, which means handling him at least for the first week or so, I think. I'll probably stress him out less as he and I settle in.

This is true. My chicken whisperer hasn't worked with this flock. She'd sit out there and feed sunflower seeds to the girls one by one. She taught one to jump up on our laps asking for sunflower seeds.

She has her own house now and decided she's not ready for chickens. Something about cats are litter trained. To each their own, I suppose.
