The snow was up to my thighs when I waded out to the chickens today.

There was just enough snow on the ground to tell that it had snowed during the night. It was 16°F this morning and is now 52°F in the sunshine.

The new snow is all gone except for in the shade.

It got up to 60°F in the sunshine at 12:30 PM. It is now down to 17°F and the snow is accumulating.

I got the walks and driveway shoveled, so the thin layer that was left was able to melt since the sun came out. I'm so glad that I've been keeping up with the shoveling or it would be completely impossible to get out.
