One time my cat Kaijyu decided that he really, really wanted to lick my hand. Not just a lick or two, but for about half an hour, he lay there, licking my hand. I was mostly asleep, so I pretty much ignored him. The next day I wondered why I had little scabs as if I'd scraped my hand on asphalt (but the back of my hand), then I remembered.

Nice list. Please correct "lay down" to "lie down". You lay down an object like put it down. You lie down as in recline.
