Elbows straight, or bent?
I think that I can hold one for about forty-five seconds.
Let me check.

I'm going to hold it for 30 seconds every day this month.
I'll have to be able to hold it longer eventually.


I'm going to do it every day for the entire year.
 
Okay, first of all, I figured out how to set a timer with my phone!
Second of all, OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
62 seconds, approximately. My wrists are going to be kvetching at me, and my face was starting to get red.
Not being able to breathe properly while holding a plank is a bit unsettling.
NOT. EASY.
If your wrists hurt then that means your elbows were straight.
My wrists are extremely weak so I don't even want to try it with my arms straight.

Also I didn't even know you could do it with your arms straight.

I thought that a plank was basically holding yourself up like you stopped at the peak of a push-up.
That's what I was doing.
