yeah water damage is nothing to mess around with.....you would probably be better served to do same as we did and go down to bare studs....treat for any mold/rot and start fresh!!! the work sux but totally worth it in the end to last 10+ years vs having to redo everything again in a coupleI'm talking about my water damage crap...not yours.

mr muddy is too messy with the application to be able to do thatI never sand drywall. I use a damp sponge to smooth it out. No dust to deal with.
