⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

A few tips I've heard to keep warm:
If you have a tent set it up inside the house. It will trap the heat in one area rather than having it spread out around the house.
Keeping doors shut will help with this too.
And eat and drink warm stuff. This helps a lot. Avoid caffeine and alcohol though.

This morning on I-10 was treacherous. 6-10 probably was too. Supposedly they closed the east end of the huey P and the twin spans in the east
Yes, I saw you were headed this way but it was already past noon. This afternoon is totally different from this AM. I started this morning by pulling sheets of ice from the hen's water bowls.

Life on the farm is often wrought with surprises...
This morning after breaking the ice on the last pond for the cows we headed back up the snow covered hill towards the truck. I’m behind the hubby staying close to his steps thru the thick layer of powder.
All at once I’m face down in the snow on the ground lying on the edge of a rock ridge where I had smacked the inside edge of the kneecap of my left knee and a diagonal line across the side of my right thigh.
Hubby moved me into a sitting position on the ledge so I could get my breath and evaluate the injury. I could feel the thigh already beginning to swell, but nothing was broken. I was literally stunned by the pain running up my right leg along the muscle from my knee to my hip!
Two layers of clothing kept me warm and probably lessened the injury from the impart with the edge of that rock. No skin was broken, but there’s gonna be a huge bruise. And some stiff walking for a while.

I’ve already iced it, but my warm fuzzy Tom thought a little heat would be nice.
You can just barely make out the welp under my sweats on the right leg.
