A few tips I've heard to keep warm:
If you have a tent set it up inside the house. It will trap the heat in one area rather than having it spread out around the house.
Keeping doors shut will help with this too.
And eat and drink warm stuff. This helps a lot. Avoid caffeine and alcohol though.

I am setting up a tent in my bedroom...at the same time I bring my chickens in.

My chickens must be scared of dying. They started laying again yesterday.
3 eggs yesterday and 4 today.

My quail haven't skipped a beat.

I just went to check waterers and they were not frozen.

It is hailing And here I thought we were done with precipitation in our area.

The county judge lady is on TV talking about how price gouging will not be tolerated. There are issues with grocery stores and gas stations here.

Why is selling a can of Lysol for $9 not considered price gouging?

Is this normal weather for you? I don't know.

We usually don't get much snow in our area, especially in the valley bottom where I live. But the current weather isn't unprecedented like what y'all are experiencing in Texas.
