@Tesumph Chester is beautiful! Hope your power comes back on for good. Someone said earlier that a baked potato retains heat for a longer time. Perhaps you could microwave one for IV to help keep her warm.

My parents got snow this time, but not as much as us. I didn't bother getting pics of our snow. Been too busy trying to keep everyone warm and fed inside.

the betrayal!
It's raining now.It was actually really nice out today though. I rode my bike up and down the street around 8 and it felt nice.
Great idea! I will keep that in mind (although the microwave isn't an option, we had considered heating some water for hot water bottles on the propane grill).@Tesumph Chester is beautiful! Wrap the potatoes in foil & throw them on the grill or right into the base of a fire.Great idea! I will keep that in mind (although the microwave isn't an option, we had considered heating some water for hot water bottles on the propane grill).
Thankfully, I found an old stash of toe warmers that we're stuffing into socks and beanies to make cozy little beds.
Worst case scenario, we have portable tanks ready to go and we'll carefully make our way to a friend's house.
Thanks! Now if only I had potatoes.Wrap the potatoes in foil & throw them on the grill or right into the base of a fire.
Put a towel between the herps & the potatoes so they don’t burn their little bellies.
Extra potatoes will stay hot a long time in an empty cooler.
