The heater worked i ended up not shutting the water down just ran it in the kitchen. I woke up a couple times and put it full blast for half a minute or so to expell any supercooled water. Still have power. Governor said we could have those rolling blackouts and asked everyone to conserve energy. Have not had any per the clock on the range. Now waiting for daylight to see how the flooded yard is and if or how many chickens are dead

we ended up with a total of around 4-5” of snow on the ground and a bit warmer than @The Moonshiner but not as warm as @R2elk ...... it’s currently 14* with a real feel around 3* not supposed to get above 20* today and dropping into single digits overnight.
DS1 didn’t go into work this morning 🙄
 
We have about 6"" of snow. It flurried most of yesterday but didn't end up adding much to what he had. I can remember how many days its been since we've made it to the teens.
Its been a long run of brutal temps here. Think its forecasted to hit 20° in two day and back to 30° on Saturday.
Shaw's in the same sh!t and a friend in Kansas has been a few degrees worse off.
When the h€ll is spring again?
