We had to stop and clean up before dark......It was 71* this afternoon and the wind was picking up and supposed to drop to 32 with snow overnight

I just heard a preview of tonight's news... something about the temps dropping low tonight.

I'm going to check our forecast online right now. My poor babies better not freeze to death out there tonight.

You're talking about your quail, right?
Put out little shelters for them -- lean some boards against each other and stuff some leaves and fluff in there so that the quail can all snuggle together. They should be fine for just one night.
