⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

I'd say poor little feller, but I had a Red-tail trying to get birds last Friday, while I was at work, hours before the PT tester got there. Apparently, it grabbed a bird and the Muscovy ducks jumped it and chased it around the pen. It was trying to climb the fence to get away from them when the roommate saw the commotion.
These little guys are no match for a chicken. This one was chasing house sparrows.

Are they jerks to the other birds?
Only when they are new. They do their stupid little head bob and make wheezing noises and the hens usually pull out a few tail feathers and then everyone gets along. They hate my geese and the feeling is mutual. They engage in warfare every time they are all turned out together. No one is getting out now since the geese are laying and I'd like to not have imposter/abomination goslings.

I haven't seen any small guys around here. Northern Harriers which don't bother anyone. And American Kestrels that are so cute I want to steal one. 😬 I don't see Harris, Sharp-shinned, or Coopers though. Plenty of Red-tails. And the occasional Great-horned, Barred, and Barn Owls.
