Artemis sighed not having gotten the answer she had asked for, but turned to get his coffee; she would inform Amy that he was here when she returned.
(He doesn't even see the wound at the base of her neck, I'm really trying to give you hints man, figure it out

(All in due time XD All in due time.)

Jaxson sat down at the nearest unoccupied table to the counter to wait. He still couldn't place where he had seen that girl outside of this shop, but that was partially due to the majority of his focus being elsewhere. He wasn't sure if he was the only one who knew of Vanessa and Ben, or if Amy was aware of it as well. If she was, well, that was a little irksome, having his sister's secret trusted to someone he had always thought he was closer to. People were fickle, though. Especially in this time. You never really knew where you stood, and that was why he was here again today, to sort things out with a friend of the past.

(*sigh* :p )
Artemis waited a few moments to ask Amy to brew more coffee, but when she didn't return found a pot already freshly brewed. She poured a cup and brought it to Jaxson.

"Thanks," Jaxson said as she set the cup down. Since Amy wasn't here yet, he began a likely unwanted conversation with the person who was present. "You were here yesterday, were you not?" He asked. Of course she was. But he needed something to get conversation moving.
--------
Amy returned to the kitchen, a tray full of dishes sitting precariously on her palm. She set everything in the sink and began washing them gently, taking her time since she was unaware of Artemis need of her.

"Of course I was." Artemis replied with lack of amusement. Why was he asking her questions he already knew the answer to? She looked to him expectantly, hoping he would get on with whatever he had to say to her so that she could tend to other customers.

Jaxson, sensing reluctance, left it at, "Thanks for the coffee," and turned to look around the room.

Artemis swiftly walked out from behind the counter to take the orders of customers that had come while she had be caring for Jaxson.
(Amy's back downstairs, btw)

Jaxson watched the minor action in the room since he had tired of staring at the strings of lights along the walls.
