Jaxson, under strict instruction from Vanessa, had been waiting in the hall outside Artemis' cell for the past half hour. He had been told to check in on her every quarter and when she wakes, to give her a handful of pills Vanessa had prepared. He checked his watch before heading for her cell for a quarterly check in. "Hey, you're awake," he said, stating the obvious because that seemed the best and simplest thing to say.

Artemis looked up at Jaxson's voice, before rolling her eyes and deciding to ignore him.

"I've got some pills for you that should ease that hangover-like headache you have right now, as well as help the overall pain you're surely feeling," Jaxson said. "But you can't take them on an empty stomach, so I highly suggest you eat that plate of food the previous guard brought you this morning," he nodded towards a plate that sat at the foot of her cot.

Mythe got up early as always and went to continue studying about Diabetes. He'd have to get ready for more questioning today, which annoyed him greatly, but that wasn't going to be for a few hours so he had time.
He decided to be a little bit more practical so he didn't have to continue wasting time. He was going to use drugs that he had made himself, that wouldn't kill anybody if you didn't give them too high of a dosage. The venom obviously hadn't worked, so he would have to use things that effected the brain and caused someone to not think the way they usually did, causing them to be more willing to give you information.
Mythe definitely was bringing things that caused pain, but he'd start with the things that would make Artemis loopy first.

Aya was already at work, and there were surprisingly no surgeries she had to partake in today. Not many people needed brain surgery though, but it was still a little pleasant surprise. She mainly just had to manage things now, which was difficult enough to make up for the relief of no surgeries.

Vanessa finished organizing the shelf of mixed files that had been staring at her for days now. She had gone down to see how Artemis was faring a while ago, but she had been asleep so there wasn't much use just hang around waiting for something to happen. She had given Jaxson the medicine and instructions on what to do when the girl awoke, so there was no need to worry about her, at least for now. Vanessa looked up at the wall clock to see what time it was, but, remembering it was off due to dead batteries, pulled her sleeve back to check her watch. The interrogation was still a few hours away so she had time before she needed to check in on Artemis.

Artemis peered curiously at the plate of food, beginning to eat the food but not before asking: "You haven't fed me the last few days, why start now?"

"It wasn't my idea to starve you into submission," Jaxson said honestly. "Vanessa pulled some strings to get you that meal, so eat up." He backed away from the doorway to give her some privacy.

Artemis thought over his words while she ate, not understanding why Vanessa cared that much since her true intentions were exposed the day before. After she finished her meal she set the empty plate back on the foot of the bed and looked to Jaxson. "After I have the pills, am I to be taken for another interrogation?"

"Not immediately, but yes, you will later," Jaxson replied. Seeing she was finished eating, he entered the cell to give her a full glass of water and a few tablets from the bottle Vanessa had provided. "Was the food decent?" He asked in an attempt to make conversation.
