Artemis said nothing but rather allowed the reflection of the light in her eyes prove the evidence of her garunteed silence. She sat alone in the cell, finding herself longing to be in the presence of someone else, which was unusual in her nature.

Jaxson set the tray outside the door then walked down the hall to check on the other prisoners. A few shot him glares, one or two snarled or something, but most just ignored him as he passed them by. After a while, he was back around at Artemis' cell. "Headache gone?" He asked as he paused outside.
----------
Vanessa checked her watch. Time was moving slowly for her, by herself in her office with not much to do other than sit and fume over yesterday. But Jaxson was right; being mad wasn't suiting to her or for her. She downed her cup of coffee and resolved to be calm.

Artemis looked up at Jaxson, and meeting his gaze answered: "Yes, thankfully." She said, not mentioning that the pills hadn't cured the genrell soreness of her body.

"Glad to hear it," Jaxson said, smiling softly. "You still have a little while before your interrogation, so you may want to take advantage of that and sleep," he suggested.

"Yeah, I think I will." Artemis said thoughtfully, settling into her cot before resting her head and falling asleep.
(Time skip to when she wakes?)

(sure. Is Gar on?)

(No. But I'll be going to bed within fifteen minutes, which if we continue rping we'll probably only get as far as the elevator ride to upstairs, so she won't miss anything that involves her anyway.)
Artemis woke up with the startling realization that she would soon be taken to be interrogated. She sat up, struggling to mentally prepare herself.

(gotcha)
Vanessa stepped off the elevator and hurried towards where she knew Jaxson would be: Artemis' cell. She had a few things to say before the interrogation, so she came down herself so she would have time to say everything necessary.
-----
Jaxson came back to Artemis' cell, aware that it was nearly time for her to be taken up. "Almost time," he said as he approached. "I brought you some water another round of aspirin."

"Thanks." Artemis said quietly, taking them both with gratefullness.
(GTG, Goodnight :) )

"No problem," Jaxson nodded then turned to leave, but stopped when he saw Vanessa. "What brings you down here?" He asked her.
"Good to see you too," Vanessa frowned at him, then stepped aside to let him out. "How is she?" She asked, pulling him away from the door.
"Fine, I think. She took the tablets you instructed me to give, and she ate everything you had sent in," he explained.
"Good, good."
"Is that all?"
"Is that all what?" Vanessa snapped.
"Geez, Nessie. Is that the only reason you came down here, to interview me?" Jaxson demanded. The attitude she brought down with her was beginning to get under his skin.
Vanessa shot him a glare, though she immediately regretted it. Remembering her resolve to be calm, she looked him in the eye and said as calmly as possible, "First of all, don't call me that. Second of all, I came down to make sure Artemis is alive and well. And to say that, I have an appointment at the same time as the interrogation—"
Jaxson put up a hand to interrupt her. "Okay, so you want me to make sure all goes well, and—" he stuck a finger out to shush her as she opened her mouth "—that I stay out of trouble. Only say as much as is required."
Vanessa nodded. "There's a good boy. I'll see you both this evening," she said with a wave and a smile as she turned to leave.
