The dogs eventually found the water Artemis had led them to, but because she was barely visible in the water and her scent of course didn't stay in the same area, they had officially lost her.

The men caught up with the dogs and looked around angrily. The dogs had lost her trail, so they didn't have hope that they would find her. Some of the guards were deciding to raise their guns to shoot at the water, hoping to hit her, but they leader had them stop because that would simply waste bullets.

"Let's go...We're all fired, you idiots!" He shouted angrily and led them all back, calling for the dogs to follow them. All of the others stayed silent in shame and nervousness.

(Time skip to when she meets with Amy? I can start if you like silkie.)
Artemis soon surfaced the water after the indistinctive shouts of the men chasing her faded with the sound of rushing water. She pulled herself unto dry land being weighed down by the water which clung to her as closely as her fears. Looking to the sky informed her that she didn't have time to dry herself; she had to keep moving towards shelter before nightfall.

(Sure :) I'll work on a Jaxson & Vanessa post soon)

Amy scanned the room, pausing at each table to make they were spotless for tomorrow. She wiped a nearly invisible smudge from the edge of the counter before dropping the dishcloth in a basket. Laundry was definitely in need of doing, so it seemed that that was what she would be doing tonight. Maybe there was something good on TV she could play to make her chore more enjoyable. She flipped the overhead light off while flipping the outside door light on, then headed up the stairs to her apartment with the basket on her hip.

Vanessa sat in her swivelly office chair with a concerned look on her face. With the help of the assigned guard, she had managed to get a groggy, but okay, Jaxson up to her office. The guard had just left after she had assured him that she would be fine and if she needed help, he would be the first one to know. Fool. As if she couldn't take care of herself. She scoffed at the thought as she stood and crossed the room to where her brother sat.

Jaxson opened his eyes slowly, but quickly shut them when he saw her coming. He really wasn't in the mood right now to discuss the previous hour's events with her. His head still ached from where Artemis had punched him. Geez, the girl could cause serious damage if she was of the mind to.

"Doesn't seem like much of a boss then, does he?" Aya said in awkward humor. "I actually am running a hospital that is based solely around neurology, which means I am pretty much the boss of all of the workers. So, given the fact I myself am the boss of many people, I'm just going to come to the conclusion that your boss has no idea how to boss. Which is actually a personal attack on him, not you. Though, if you really like your boss, I apologize in advance, I'm mostly just joking."
(Boopity boop boop.)

The guards arrived back at their workplace, and immediately when Han (I'm just guessing his name at the moment...) heard that they had failed, they of course all got yelled at with many swears, insults, and talk about how he didn't think he hired little girls for this job.

Many minutes later, once Han had finished his rant to the guards, one of them quietly made light fun about his arguments.
"Well, I identify as a girl anyway, so..."
A few of the other guards couldn't help but snicker, but when Han heard them and pulled out his gun they weren't smiling anymore.

"I heard about what you said about single mothers...I hope most of you aren't married, but I don't really care."
He pointed his gun at the first guard and shot him, then continued to shoot the rest in a line until the one who had cracked the joke remained.

The guard was staring at Han like he was a madman, and Han walked up to him.

"Maybe if you had taken this situation seriously, these men wouldn't have died. Now, you're fired. Don't worry, your paycheck will get mailed to you." Han then proceeded to punch the man with enough force to break his jaw, and yelled at him to get out, which he agreed to do with a bloody mouth.

Dr. Mythe just couldn't resist what was going on, what with the gun shots and all, and found Han with blood splattered on his shirt and multiple dead men sitting in front of him.

"Huh." Mythe muttered with a chuckle and a tilted head, "Guess you should've just allowed me to kill that little brat, but I guess you're always right, aren't you?"

Han turned to Mythe with a look of hatred and gritted teeth. Then, Mythe continued to talk, wanting to ask just one question.

"So...Could I use those bodies, assuming you're done with them?"

(Boopity boop boop.)

"No." Devine said quietly, leaning back into his seat. "My boss realized long ago he couldn't control, only that it were better to have me on his side, and to have me complete assignments; either to occupy my time or so he didn't have to."

Artemis willed herself to knock gently on the back entrance of the coffee shop. She shook in the cool breeze, arms wrapped around herself trying to ward off the cold which soaked all the wat through her bones following the channels of water which still dripped from her body. The silence of the alley left her hanging her head in the shame of having to involve her friend in such a dangerous situation.

(Alrighty, finally answering you,
@QuackSpeak )

"Alright, guess it's now or never. But right when you hear footsteps, hide behind the area where the door will cover you, stay silent, and wait. I'll hide there as well." Charlie waited a few moments, just because he was nervous, and began to recite the 'Veni, vini, vici' quote. He also added a few other inaudible Laitn words, raising his voice to make it quite loud. After a few moments of saying a bunch of random sentences, he heard somebody walking towards the entrance. Charlie quickly stood,
"Hurry, come on, hide!" Charlie said quietly and anxiously to Trixie.

Trixie, heart in her mouth, tried to find a place in the barren room to hide. She ended up behind the door, terror in her eyes at what was to come, at the footsteps coming closer with every passing second.
But she could - and would - fight.
