"Either way is fine to me." Brooklyn reassured with a smile. "As long as it better than military food, I'm happy." She laughed playfully, yet truthfully.

Simeon nodded, not quite sharing her laughter yet. He was still disappointed in himself in not killing that Mira. He didn't want to show it, and just kept on cooking the eggs and bacon for his guest. Soon, it was done, and he served Brooklyn and himself.

"Thank you." Brooklyn murmured gratefully, her suspicion growing for Simeon at his sudden silence.

(I'm sorry to hear that for you as well :hugs I like to think that at least their no longer suffering, there just in peace. I was hoping today would be a better day but so far its... :th)

"You shoot him, and we'll shoot you for sure." They replied sternly. The man being held captive by Artemis didn't dare move, or even speak, definitely fearing the possibility of death.
"I would say that you wouldn't have to guts to shoot him, but I suppose a prisoner like you wouldn't think about someone's loved ones, or their family who has to deal with the loss. You're all savages. Kill him, and there'll be another mother who can't get the money to take care of her kids because of the Contenders." One of the guards grinned menacingly. Guilt was such a strong feeling, it was brilliant when you needed to send someone into pitiful distraction.

Aya walked steadily past Devine, noticing a figure by the alley but not caring to find out who it was since last time that kind of got her in a pickle. She stared down at her feet as she walked, which was just a habit of hers. She knew this city well enough to not have to look forward all that much.
