Aya sighed at this.
"I'm guessing it's a specific C.M.I member that took something from you, like you talked about yesterday, and you want to find him or her." She said in a very stern tone.

"There is much more to it than that," Devine stated, leaning back deeper into the booth, "but, yes."

Vanessa couldn't help but notice with concern the red stains on Han's shirt and her reply was therefore delayed, but only slightly. She quickly regained her composure and said, "I'm not sure wether you are aware of this, but a guard was injured during the recent escape."
"Well, I'm sure of it. Who is it?" Han asked her. It didn't surprise him in the least that that horrible woman had injured somebody. He didn't ask for any of this. He decided to work here, his friend died, he was signed up to run the C.M.I without his own permission, then people saw him as the enemy. Then the people on the other side who claimed to want peace killed his child and made his wife leave him.
His blood was boiling as he thought of that ungrateful, betraying, selfish woman that only pledged her loyalty to the group that had robbed him of everything that used to motivate him.

"Jaxson Pole," Vanessa replied promptly. She took a deep breath then continued on before Han could reply. "As you may know, or take note of now, we share a last name because we are, in fact, siblings. And as his roommate, sister, not to mention doctor, I'd like to request—no, tell you—that he must take a few days to recover from this incident." Her jaw was set, her decision having subconsciously been made before she had even left her office. With that realization, she suddenly questioned herself as to why she was here.

"What are the injuries inflicted upon him? Has anything possibly damaged his brain, or something else with the same seriousness?" Han asked calmly, but then he raised his voice as he said the next part.
"Because if you're going to basically tell me that he got punched in the face and therefore needs to be useless and leave us with yet another guard unable to work for a few days, I'm going to question whether he's a man at all, and instead is just a boy! It is not as if that girl was throwing bombs like a terrorist. She was skinny and small. No obvious muscles, which I would think would be required to make a man have to rest because he got hit by a girl! If you are just desiring for him to have a break because he is a relative and therefore you love him, then maybe he needs a new doctor that won't give him a trophy for participating. Because he's supposed to be a soldier." Han's glare turned almost deadly, "And soldiers don't get pity until the war is over."

"There is much more to it than that," Devine stated, leaning back deeper into the booth, "but, yes."
"If you want me to participate in such a thing, then I would at least like to know exactly who this person is, and what will happen to him. Though I feel as if I probably know the last part." Aya said. She almost sounded like a parent, subtly scolding Devine for doing what she believed to be wrong.

(Have they even told each other their names?...I don't think they have. XD)

Vanessa nonchalantly looked at her nails while she listened and waited for Han to finish. When he did she looked up slowly, and with jaw clenched, replied in an even tone, "No matter the prisoner's petite size, Jaxson Pole suffered a blow to the head. Any doctor, relative or no, I think would deem it necessary that he be given a few day's rest." Advancing a few steps forward in the room, she continued. "And it's not like you don't have plenty of other guards that could help you, because last I checked, there were quite a few lounging about the halls doing nothing of importance—" she paused, cocked her head slightly and a smarmy look spread across her face as she glanced at the bloodstains once more, "—unless, they're not there anymore."

"Justice." Devine stated, keeping his tempter in check after having been judged by Aya. He wanted to be sure he could trust Aya before sharing more information. "Less than a hundred years ago, when a man murdered another man the law would end the murders life. It's not cruel, or unfair. It's simply justice."
(They might have...)

Simeon smiled, and said "You can start shopping, Ill be back. Does that work?"

"Yes, that's fine." Brooklyn crossed the parking lot after parting with Simeon, and went to shop at several clothing stores in search of a decently priced outfit that could help conceal her identity.

Simeon went to the gun store across the store and purchased some 22 caliber bullets for his pistol, then put them in her car. He then headed for the store where Brooklyn was.
