(XD)
(XD I l've put way too much thought into this(That's a yes. I like where this is going!)
Jaxson grabbed his jacket and keys from the kitchen and picked up his helmet as he went out the door. Carpooling with Vanessa was convient for many reasons, but it was times like these that he was grateful he had his dad's motorcycle. He checked his watch, determining that he had a few hours till Vanessa would be back and therefore it couldn't hurt as long as no one saw him who knew him. Surely no one over there besides her knew him.
(I did reply. Go back a few posts. It was a last post on a page, which sadly often get missed)(I thought you said that you would reply to Artemis, or are you waiting until Jaxson arrives at the coffee shop?
(Aha! Found ya!)
Amy filled a few muffin pans then slid them into the oven carefully. After setting the timer, she went to dry and put away the dishes Artemis had washed.
"Artemis," she said to get her attention. "I've got a feeling you're going to be here for a while. It doesn't inconvenience me in the least, rather, it's great because I need the help and I don't often get company, but I do need to know a little bit about you. Whenever we've met before, it's been quick. Never enough time to exchange detail. Background. But those things, I need if you're going to be sleeping on my couch." She looked up now, hesitance and sincere apologies for this written on her face. "I really don't like prying, but I need you to tell me something."
"Anything," Amy said with a shrug. She could see Artemis wasn't sure about this, so she decided to make this as simple as possible. "Let's see here. You want to help me out here, right? Well, before I have people help, before I hire them, I interview them." She set a set mug carefully on the rack then turned her attention back to Artemis. "So let's treat this like an interview."(I can't believe I missed this!)
Artemis emptied the sink of water as the last dish was cleaned. She then dried her hands with the closest rag, intently listening to Amy speak. "What?" Artemis inquired, silently nervous with anticipation of Amy's question; she rarely shared personal information about herself, even with those she cared for. Most of her past contained memories she much rather forget than share.
